What Are Dermoid Cysts?
Ovarian cysts are not an uncommon occurrence in women of childbearing age. Ovarian dermoid cysts are complex cysts that usually develop during a woman's childbearing years. There are two basic types of ovarian cysts, functional and complex. Functional cysts occur during the normal functioning of the reproductive system. A complex cyst on the other hand results from the growth of abnormal tissue.
The majority, approximately 98%, of Dermoid cysts are non-cancerous. The biggest problem with this type of cyst occurs when they become large and twist or rupture. This can cause severe pain and require emergency surgery. They grow slowly and are often removed by laparoscopy surgery simply to prevent future problems from occurring.
How Dermoid Cysts Are Diagnosed
The most common means of diagnosing an ovarian dermoid cyst, or any other type of cyst, is either by endovaginal ultrasound or a CT scan. An ultrasound is a painless procedure, similar to a pelvic exam and can reveal the internal structure of the cyst and help the physician determine the proper treatment. A CT scan may be used to provide additional information.
Typically if removal is recommended it is done by laporoscopy, which is a simple procedure that does not require long recovery time or extensive scaring. A biopsy is usually taken when dermoid cysts are removed. The doctor may also suggest a Serum CA-125 blood test just to rule out ovarian cancer. Hormone levels may be tested as well. All of this is standard protocol for complex ovarian cysts even though chances are the cyst is benign.
Natural Treatment Methods Will Help Balance Hormonal Levels
All types of ovarian cysts are influenced by hormone levels in the body. In a typical female, hormones fluctuate throughout the reproductive cycle but external circumstances can contribute to an imbalance. Such an imbalance can make a woman more prone to developing cysts, including dermoid cysts.
To decrease the odds of developing an ovarian cyst or discourage the growth of new cysts, a natural approach to treatment is recommended. Research has revealed that lifestyle and excess weight can contribute to hormonal imbalances and the frequency with which a woman develops new ovarian cysts.
Obesity has been revealed to increase the risk of developing cysts including dermoid cysts. Making changes in your diet can help improve the odds and keep hormone levels within normal range. Some foods are more problematic than others. Sugar, processed food, white flour and junk food of all types can create insulin problems that lead to hormonal imbalances. By eliminating these foods and eating fresh fruits and vegetables instead can help your body find its own natural balance.
A holistic approach to treating dermoid cysts may also include a vitamin and mineral supplement that will help build your body's immune system and help fight the growth of abnormal cells. A variety of herbs are also beneficial in ridding your body of toxins. This also will diminish cell growth. Avoiding foods that are treated with chemicals is encouraged as are the use of cosmetics and other products that contain a high chemical component. A natural, holistic treatment approach can work hand in hand with the treatment recommended by your physician.

Work From Home Stuffing Envelopes - Don't Fall For This Scam
Hopefully you are reading this article because you are thinking about, or looking for a way to work from home stuffing envelopes.
I'm sorry to inform you this work doesn't really exist, at least not in the way you think it does.
The webpages and companies advertising this type of work paint the picture that you would be performing a service for a company stuffing envelopes for them. This is crazy. What company would entrust complete strangers with potentially sensitive or personal information about their customers or whatever?
I used to fix machines that do this exact job. Pitney Bowes and Francotyp Postalia among other companies make machines that do this work extremely quickly. Much faster than any human could do. So do you really think a company is gonna pay someone a decent wage in order to do something that a machine can do much quicker and cheaper?
So perhaps you are wondering what this work really is all about? This is by no means a legit no fee work from home for free job. You will have to pay some sort of a fee in order to do it. Some say it's a fee to have access to a list of companies that want this service, or the fee is to weed out the people who aren't serious about the opportunity.
Bottom line is the fee is what feeds the program. Sure there are very likely people out there who do actually make money with these envelope stuffing companies. The money they are making however is just from getting other people to buy into the same program. Where does the stuffing of envelopes come into the equation you may ask? Very likely it is just one of the ways in which they market the idea. You can mail postcards or envelopes with the info about this "work from home job" in hopes that others will buy into it and repeat the process thereby making you money via an MLM or Pyramid type compensation system.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is possible to make money working from home doing this envelope stuffing business. However, just realize you aren't providing a service for companies who need help with their mailings. You are just promoting the very same opportunity you have bought into in hopes that others will do the same and make you money along the way. If you are clear about that and still think it is a decent or potential home based business then by all means give it a try. Just be careful about giving credit card details away as that could come back to bite you in the butt. Try to use paypal to pay the fee as it's much safer.

how do air ionizers work, and do they work well?
I have a fan with an ionizer, but its not an air purifier. we also have an air purifier with an ionizer. Do ionizers work well to remove dust?
The opinions differ-- please search above-- best answer to-- "are negative ionizers useful"
Wikipedia--has a different opinion--"Ionic air purifiers use an electrically charged plate to produce negative gas ions that particulate matter sticks to (in an effect similar to static electricity). Many ionizers are sold as air purifiers, but in this regard they are very inefficient. They will clean the air to a small degree, by charging dust and smoke particles which will then be attracted to a neutral or positively charged surface. Heavier combined particles may precipitate (fall) out of the air should two smaller particles of different charge clump together."
Repair crews out in force; 1,000 work to fix outages
More than 1,000 linemen and other workers — more than half of them from other utilities and private tree trimming firms — will be continuing their work today across the mid-Hudson Valley, Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. spokesman John Maserjian said Saturday.
