Vintage watch repair?
I have an old Timex Ironman Triathalon watch from the mid 1980s. It broke maybe 7 years ago I think. Is it possible to get it repaired? Is there a place that specializes in vintage digital watch repair?
A watch from the 1980s is not considered "vintage". Since its' only about 25 years old, (give or take a few years) you should be able to have it serviced at any reliable jeweler.
I have several vintage watches, one made before 1900, and have had it serviced at a local jeweler in New Jersey.
If you watch is unique, such as having an odd shaped crystal you may have more of a problem.
Be aware that since your watch is digital, there is usually nothing to repair. Fixing it requires replacing the entire guts of the watch. Have you tried going to the Timex site and asking there?
