history and value of a working vintage "ben franklin super single shot patented 300 air rifle"?
i have researched for 12 years and can find nothing on the history or value of this air gun .http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y277/RedDunn/benfranklinsupersingleshot300.jpg the rifle shown in this add looks accurate for the model 300 ..the air chamber and barrel appear to be brass the stock is wooden and the bolt trigger and trigger guard are steel .i made out the address in the advertisement , however the business is no longer open .. please help solve ." The Brass Mystery " !! on the end cap of the air chamber is stamped . the benjamin air rifle co. saint louis usa super single shot patented # 300.. the air chamber plunger is sealed with the use of a flat piece of leather contrary to the modern day rubber o-ring ..thank you for your help in my search .
