A very unique nineteen thirty nine Chevrolet Limo Convertible old classic car has been listed on the classic cars for sale classifieds website to attract the attention of classic car collectors, enthusiasts and buyers. The status of the title of this car is not applicable and the outside of the car has been spray painted in black while inside it has a maroon finish. The car has fifty five thousand miles or eighty eight thousand five hundred and fifty kilometres on its clock. No information has been given about the size of engine that the car holds but it does have a manual transmission. No location has been listed for potential buyers of this very old classic car but classic car enthusiasts interested in purchasing this car from the dealer can do so by accessing the old ride trader website and requesting the owners contact details.
This car is probably the only one that has ever been made. It has a very important and interesting history which is detailed on the old ride trader website as follows; quote ‘What a unique automobile! Maybe the sole survivor or maybe the only one ever produced? The prior owner spent several years in restoration and in research. A bundle of this research is included with the sale. History: This car was spotted on a freighter by a Rajneeshee in India where it had docked on its way to the original owner. The Rajneeshee, Mahabat Kanji, sent his ‘boy' to check out what he had seen from his Binoculars at his summer residence. It was determined that the Chevy was owned by King Saud of Saudi Arabia. Apparently the Rajneeshee, also a Muslim, contacted King Saud and title was transferred to Mahabat Khanji in India. It was used as a parade car and for official business during the war years. One of the pictures shows the Royal usage and the Turbans on the Royals. After the war Nehru was going to unite all religions in India. That was misguided and soon Pakistan was formed with the Muslims taking it over. Mahabat Khanji then had to move to Pakistan and he became the Nawab Sahib of Junagadh. The car was again driven for functions until new cars were made available'.
The old ride trader website continues with the details of this unique nineteen thirty nine Chevrolet Limo Convertible by writing that, quote ‘There after it was relegated to hunting status and then placed in a garage for storage. Fast forward to 1992 when a William Campbell was in charge of the U.S. Embassy in Karachi, Pakistan. He was a hunter and asked his "boy" to go find a used US Army jeep that he could buy for hunting purposes. His "boy" found this vehicle and reported to Campbell. A deal was struck with the Grandson of the Nawab Sahib and Campbell commenced restoration in Pakistan. Not too long after this, Campbell was transferred to head the United States Consulate in Helsinki, Finland and continued the restoration long distance until it was basically completed. He owned the car for several years and when he retired to Sunriver, Oregon, the car followed. Somewhere either in Helsinki or Sunriver the block froze and broke. A new 1954 6-cyl Chevrolet engine was secured and the 1938/39 engine was replaced' end quote.
