Interactivity Is The Key
If you are a new up & coming web designer, or you have been around a while, you will know that interactivity is the key to the success of your website, but how can you make your website interactive for your target audiences? Well here are a list of features that your website will most likely contain, which you can make interactive by creating them in Adobe Flash.
Menu System
Your menu system will be the main navigation facility that your users will use, therefore it should stand out. If you can create an interactive menu, (for example the buttons can move or change colour when the user hovers the mouse over them) then this will go along way to making your users experience an enjoyable one. There are also lots of websites who use their menu system as their main interface, although these are normally fairly advanced designs. However when you create our interactive menu, take into consideration that the user must not be overawed by it, and even though it is interactive, the user still has to be able to use it properly. Image Gallery
If your website has an image gallery, then this can easily become the most interactive part of your site. There are limitless ways in which you can make your image gallery interactive, for example you could have a scrolling image gallery, a rotating image gallery, an image gallery that uses thumbnails which expand into larger images when clicked on, or you could use a technique called lightboxing, which brings an image into a Polaroid frame, and blacks out the rest of the website so you solely focus on that particular image. Use your imagination, and again as long as the image gallery functions properly, your target audience will be impressed with the interactivity, and will return to your website. Miscellaneous Items
Every website is different, and every website has the possibility of throwing in some added features that could help to make your users experience a more enjoyable one. There are a lot of things that you could add to your website to make it more interactive. You could add a little game, you could have an animated mouse instead of the standard pointer or you could have an animated background to your interface. Whatever you do can have a great effect on your website, remember every little detail effects your users experience. However when adding little things like this, make sure that they tie in with your website. There is nothing worse than for example, having a website on flowers, and having something completely random like a war game plastered down the side. I need some hints on giving a garage sale.?
