Grading baseball cards is a process of grading a baseball card by a person or a grading company based on certain factors. Centering is one of the most important factors used in grading. This is the evenness of the white space around the picture of the player. This is measured from all four sides. The corners of the cards are also important in baseball card grading. The sharper the corners are, the better the grade. Bad corners will lessen the grade. The next factor is the card surface. The surface grades are determined by the intensity of printing, any creases or marks on the surface, etc. This is just a brief outline of how grading is done.

Therefore, while grading baseball cards, most people have to choose from grading companies that offer the best price. All these lead the most important reason of collecting cards, enjoyment, to be forgotten.
