Jack's Big Music Show: Let's Rock Jack's Big Music Show: Let's Rock
List Price: $8.99
Sale Price: $2.99

Includes the episodes "Groundhog Day," "Jack & the Beanstalk," "How Mel Got His Groove Back," and "Little Bad Wolf." 95 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.

Jack's Big Music Show is a Nickelodeon television program that features puppetry, music, and guest performances by popular children's music artists. Puppets Jack, his friend Mary, and dog Mel have a special clubhouse where they meet to make music together and where visitors often stop in for some musical fun and a little help solving problems. The barbershop-inspired Schwartzman (puppet) Quartet comes visiting in each episode and there's always one or two music video interludes featuring popular children's music artists like The Laurie Berkner Band (We Are . . . the Laurie Berkner Band), Sweet Honey in the Rock (Sweet Honey in the Rock--Singing for Freedom), Dirty Sock Funtime Band Mr. Clown and the Day the Sun Got Wet, or Steve Burns and Steven Drozd. "Groundhog Day" features The Daily Show's Jon Stewart as a reporter for the Groundhog News reporting on the story of Gertrude Groundhog--a groundhog who's too nervous and shy to come out in public to look for her shadow. When Gertrude calls at the clubhouse, Jack, Mary, and Mel provide encouragement and a special song to bolster Gertrude's self-confidence and help her fulfill her Groundhog duties. "Jack and the Beanstalk" puts a new spin on a classic fairytale when Jack, Mary, and Mel help Mr. Giant find the perfect birthday gift for his wife. "How Mel Got His Groove Back" stresses the importance of liking oneself while helping Mel the dog recover from a bang on the head that leaves him meowing like a cat and "Little Bad Wolf" provides an ever-huffing and puffing little wolf with an introduction to music and the perfect musical instrument. Watch for Steve Burns' (formerly from Blue's Clues--Shapes and Colors) music video "I Hog the Ground" and The Laurie Berkner Band's music video "Space Ship" in the bonus features. Jack's Big Music Show is an entertaining series that exposes children ages 1 to 5 to a variety of musical styles while promoting a wholesome message about believing in oneself. --Tami Horiuchi

Join Steve, Blue and all their friends as they plan a backyard musical show! Preschoolers will help Steve and Blue get the show underway, write an all new song with G-Clef --the voice of Ray Charles, and of course, play Blue's Clues. In Blue's Big Musical Movie, preschoolers will sing, dance, play, and learn that they can be anything they want to be! Includes 6 Brand-New Songs!Promotes: Critical Thinking, Music, Curriculum including Notes, Rhythm & Tempo, Problem Solving, Confidence and Self-EsteemRecommended Ages: 2 years & up

Blue bounds into her first feature-length film ready to sing. She gets sidetracked along the way, of course, but that's part of the brilliant Blue's Clues formula. Each half-hour TV show presents engaging, easy-to-grasp mini-mysteries that are within toddlers' reach. This time Blue; her huge-eyed, slightly loopy human companion, Steve; and their cadre of talking-object friends are scurrying around, preparing for a backyard music show that day. Everybody picks a number to perform; Blue's is a duet with Tickety Tock, but the clock contracts laryngitis. Who will be Blue's new partner? A game of Blue's Clues reveals the hardly reluctant replacement. The standard discovery of three clues followed by the usual wind-down song would add up to a colossal disappointment in a feature film, so substantial rounding-out is provided. Steve stumbles onto a keyboard inhabited by a note called G-Clef (the unmistakable voice of Ray Charles), who gives a tour of how to make a song. First you pick the notes, then you work on rhythm, then comes tempo, and, last but not least, "you've got to give it soul." This movie's themes include perseverance (Tickety Tock can't sing but finds a way to contribute anyway) and self-empowerment. Blue's Big Musical Movie is a feast for little eyes and ears; the sets are so colorful they hurt grown-up eyes, and the songs--especially the one that gets the Charles treatment--are all sing-along-with-me winners. --Tammy La Gorce

Jimmy Stewart captured the hearts of Americans with his kind, warm, boy-next-door appeal. Of his 79 films, he is probably most remembered for the perennial Christmas classic, ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE, for which he received an Oscar nomination in 1946. If that movie's theme holds true, "No Man Is Poor Who Has Friends", then Jimmy Stewart was one of the richest men in Hollywood. Some of Jimmy's friends joining Dean Martin in this rare and hilarious 1978 roast include Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball, Milton Berle and George Burns.

List Price: $134.96
Sale Price: $99.99

For convenience and flexibility in an outdoor-only heater, it's hard to beat the Mr. Heater MH24T 8,000-28,000 Btu double heater. This unit gives you the option of using one or two burners and mounts directly on one- to 20-pound cylinders. It uses infra-red heat, which means that it warms the objects in front of it, not the surrounding air. This gives you more heat per Btu, which means that using both burners at the highest of the three settings will keep you warm even in miserably cold situations. The heater shuts off automatically with loss of flame. Do not use in unventilated areas. Let's break it down a little to make the process easier. What are the different types of space heaters?Radiant heaters emit infrared radiation that directly warms the objects in front of the heaters (rather than the surrounding air). If you only need heat by a desk or in a small section of a room, a radiant heater is quiet and will use very little power.Forced-air heaters use a fan to blow air that has been warmed by metal or ceramic heating elements. A forced-air heater is appropriate for quickly heating up a small- to medium-sized room, but can be noisy.Convection heaters draw cold air from the floor; the air is warmed by heating coils and emitted from the top of the heater. A convection heater is appropriate for quickly heating up a small- to medium-sized room, but also can be noisy.Radiators work by heating oil enclosed in a reservoir, gradually heating the surrounding air. If heating speed isn't an issue, you might want to opt for a radiator. These are extremely quiet and effective--perfect for bedrooms. Should I buy an electric or a combustion model? If you want a heater that will be available in emergencies, or that can heat areas larger than a single room, choose a "combustion" model--one that is powered by a gas or fuel like propane, kerosene, natural gas, or diesel. Which fuel type you choose depends largely on convenience and local availability. For example, diesel would be appropriate for a heater you take with you on long car trips. How powerful a heater do I need?Heaters are rated by BTU, which stands for British Thermal Unit (the amount of heat needed to heat one pound of water by 1 degree F). To find out how many BTU you need: Calculate the volume of the space to be heated by multiplying square footage by height. Multiply that number by 4 if your insulation is poor, 3 if it's average, or 2 if it's good. The resulting number is a ballpark figure for how many BTU you'll need.Do space heaters cost a lot to operate? As a general rule, electric space heaters are more expensive to use than combustion models. To ensure energy efficiency, a thermostat is a must-have feature for any heater. For radiant heaters, models with a 360 degree heating surface can heat larger spaces. If you need a forced-air heater, models with ceramic elements tend to be more efficient. Are space heaters a fire hazard?Space heaters are implicated in about 25,000 residential fires every year. To ensure proper safety, always follow the manufacturer's usage instructions and fill out the warranty card to receive informational updates from the manufacturer. Also, look for extra safety features such as an automatic shutoff switch that can shut down the unit if, for example, it gets upended. In addition, choose a model where the heating element is adequately enclosed within the unit.

Mr. Heater Double Tank-Top Propane Heater with Piezo Ignitor can be mounted directly to a 20-pound propane cylinder. It is made of rugged durable materials and uses manual ignition, reaches its full heat output in seconds, and requires no electricity to run. Its operating time 10-52 hours and has a hi-medium-low regulator.

Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred
List Price: $14.98
Sale Price: $6.82

If Jillian Michaels can help "The Biggest Loser," just imagine what she could do for you! The popular reality show trainer leads three 20-minute workouts in this program devoted to circuit training, calorie burning, and muscle building. Features warm-ups and cool-downs. 60 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.

When Jillian Michaels says "you can lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days" by following her 20-minute-a-day workout, believe her. There's a reason her 30 Day Shred workout has become a national hit: it works. But anyone who's ever seen Michaels work out with contestants on The Biggest Loser knows it's not necessarily going to be easy. The 30 Day Shred features three 20-minute workouts, each of which features, in rapid succession, short bursts of strength, cardio, and abs, and a cool-down. Sound easy? Think again. Even the beginner-level workout will have users' heart rates up. Michaels allows no resting between each short burst of exercise, which is part of why the results happen so quickly. The transitions between strength, which can feature classic moves like pushups or reps with small weights, and cardio, and then between cardio and abs, are a mere second or two. But that pacing helps guarantee the results that Michaels touts. "This helps you burn more fat and more calories, and gets you toned that much faster," Michaels exhorts as she zips through the exercises. There are a few modified moves for true beginners, but even for them, Michaels doesn't cut much slack; everyone has to do real jumping jacks, and a lot of them. "I have 400-pound people who can do jumping jacks," Michaels says "and if they can do it, you can do it!" The only thing you need to jump into the 30 Day Shred is a set of small hand weights, and, if you have a hard floor, a mat for the floor moves. Otherwise, commit 20 minutes a day for a month, and get that lean, shredded body you've always wanted. --A.T. Hurley

Pretty cute by Sergio Adaboh on 11/30/2007: This watch has so many fantastic features. Its just great. An MP4 watch?, incredible!!!!

by drew leui on 08/31/2007: well, i just got this today in the mail and have yet to try the video, but for the music its as simple as drag and droping the music files into the music spot in the watch. one major problem though: while music is playing the screen wont turn off. this sounds like a good thing but now theres an imprint of the date if you look closely at the watch. so basically dont leave the music screen up for more than an hour at a time. (anybody that knows how to turn the screen off while listening to music let me know becuase thats a major dissapointment)

New version? by Neil C on 05/17/2007: I bought a coulpe of these recently (May 07): Very highly recommended. I don't know if they have newer firmware, but they don't have the limitations described in most of these reviews. They play SMV files rather than NVX, these are around 200mb per hour at top quality. They also view JPG files without conversion and the clock can be switched between 12/24 hour format. The clock can even be left on all the time - But beward OLED screen burn if you do that! (No, I didn't know it existed before, either!)

Video size by Samson on 04/14/2007: I've been looking at these things for some time. Other than questionable quality of construction, the OLED screen alone makes it worth the price. The most likely reason for the enormous size of the video files produced by the software is that the video is actually being uncompressed. MP4 is just a container, not a codec. The software is probably using MP4 format to contain a raw YUV or RGB stream - these are essentially a series of sequential bitmaps with no compression at all. The calculations required to decode compressed (i.e. DivX, XviD) audio/video streams would require a lot more processing and therefore dramatically reduce battery life. In other words, it was a choice between fitting in 100+ hours of video that you couldn't watch more than half an hour of on a single charge, or fitting in 2 hours of video that you could watch all of on a single charge.

Great but needs improvements by Sunny George on 03/20/2007: I'll narrow down to the pros & cons Pros: Crystal clear screen,Good battery life, amazing voice recorder Cons:Bad strap,NXV format(video) will eat up the memory All in all,its a fantastic watch & I'm glad I got one!

Great! by King from Maryland on 03/10/2007: First of all I was kinda skeptic with the whole " China import" thing to the USA. I could not believe when I got the package and it was actually from China lol!! Anyway I got the watch and whiped it out the package and installed the software(Which was easy to install) Everything worked as described. I will be buying from Chinavation again!! So again USA customers you will recieve your product with a tracking # too!! Thanx Chinavation!!!

by Tiran Boyland on 03/07/2007: I recently received my watches and everywhere I go people ask me about them. It's really one of the best gadgets out. I agree with some of the previous reviews in that the screen shows very nicely, the sound quality is good also, the band could definitely use a better design, a better to understand user manual, user created perhaps :) it should be able to accept different video file formats to utitilize the most out of the 2 gigs, it would also be cool to have a built on speaker as an option. Overall, I am pleased with my investment. I have already placed an order for more and am sure that I will return again after those are gone! Thank you to my friends at chinavasion!!!

THe BOSS by Montklem on 02/26/2007: I LOVE THIS WATCH, AND SO DOES ALL MY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, IM BUYING 10 ON MY NEXT ORDER, ONE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANT KEEP THE TIME UP ON THE WATCH

Carl by Gadgetman on 02/19/2007: This is a very good watch for the money. It does everything that the product description says. Very good battery life. Super picture. Great sound. Nice fitting band except for clasp. Good software (could compress the video file size more). Was shipped to me very fast. I'm on the east coast USA. Could use more memory for long movies. Better written manual. The time/date feature should allow for 12/24 select format. The backlight should come on faster for telling the time. There is no alarm feature. The usb and head phone jacks should have some type of rubber protective cap. The strap clasp is kinda bulky. The ear jack is 2.5 , 4 segment. But you can adapt this using a stereo 2.5 to 3.5 standard jack, 3 segments. This does work, and now you can plug you watch into any amplified stereo or amplified speakers. It would be nice if the adapter was included. The watch over all is very good. If you are looking for data storage, mp3 (music) / mp4 (video) player / picture viewer, mic recorder, tells time, buy it. You'll like it, don't let the small con's keep you from buying this watch.

MR by Hans Moleman on 02/13/2007: Hi! I'm really happy about the mp4 clock, it's the best mp3/mp4 player I ever had. But the bracelet got broke, and that's the bad with a non-trademark device. If this would be from Sony, or LG etc. The quality would probobly be better, BUT the price would go dubble... + OLED screen 1,5" huger then you belive. + Low price about 100-120$ for 2GB Flash memory + Nice comfort from the rubber-bracelet. - Chinese quality from a unknown manufacter. - NXV format, one episode of simpsons takes about 700MB at highest quality (DVD) - The clock function is very nice, but theres only clock and date, - no alarm or time set. etc. Design 4/5 Functions 4/5 Quality 3/5 Price 4/5 Overall: 15/20 Points Needs firmware upgrades, and perhaps bigger memory, 8GB would be nice.

Great idea, video format sucks by Nobody777 on 02/10/2007: This watch has some really great features to it. Playing MP3's from the watch is great! The audio is not quite as nice as other MP3 players but still adequate and the volume is loud! :) The display is fantastic!!! A little dark when in an atmosphere of bright light, especially direct sunlight, but otherwise looks beautiful! The color is brilliant and photos look amazing. Videos look really nice on this watch, but I have to agree with the others - the nxv format is the worst! File sizes actually get bigger after encoding. It just doesn't make any sense... The screen is only a tiny 128x128, how on earth does that necessitate over 2gb (which won't even fit the watch) for an hour show? Totally stupid! Other than this detail (which is actually THE detail, since this is sold as a video watch), the other features make this a great buy! I certainly can't complain about the awesome price and the simple fact that you can basically have a USB jump drive right on your wrist wherever you go is awesome. The best part about this watch is its voice recorder. That was actually an unexpected surprise! I have a digital recorder device and one built-in my cell phone... both suck by comparison! I would recommend this watch to guitar players and musicians because the quality of the voice option is the best I've heard in a tiny device. If you want to capture a song idea or a guitar lick, this will do it and you'll actually be able to discern what you played. ;) I would love to find out that they added a firmware upgrade than enables more video formats, but until such time, I'm happy with what I got.

by Georges TILKIN on 01/30/2007: I received my sample yesterday. The watch is fine, quality seems to be ok. The weak spot is the user booklet. Written in a langage that no one could understand, using english vocabulary but in absolutely no-understandable way!!! So I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what was the meaning of each sentence. I am going to write my own users manual for my french speaking customers, since a translation of your booklet is "Mission impossible" . Otherwise, great gadget, super-packaging, fast delivery.

Simply brilliant by Jean-Claude on 01/29/2007: Hello, I come from France. I bought this watch there is little of temp. She(it) is fantastic. She(it) works perfectly. Really corresponding to the déscription. The quality of the sound is very good! The delivery was fast. Thanks to all the team of chinavasion.

HANKS TO CHINAVASION by R.SELVAKUMAR on 01/27/2007: I WAS QUITE ASTONISHED TO RECEIVE THE MP4 WATCH FROM YOU AS I HAVE SEEN THESE TYPES OF WATCHES ONLY IN JAMES BOND MOVIES. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. THANKS TO CHINAVASION. REGARDS SELVAKUMAR, JAPAN.

Excellent by m@gick on 01/26/2007: This mp4 watch is excellent, but I must say it toke a while before I knew how to put files on this watch:) The OLED screen has fantastic colors and is very bright, the sound quality is very amazing, the battery life is good also, only the clasp on the strap goes open to fast but a part from that this is a very cool gadget and I am very happy with it:)

Review by GadgetGuy on 01/25/2007: First off: this is a GREAT gadget! For what this watch is meant to do (play MP3's and videos) it does really well. The OLED screen is fantastic for color and clarity and the sound on this watch is amazingly clear and LOUD. Now for what this watch doesn't do. Unfortunately, the designers could have easily built a few more common features into this watch to make it a true replacement for your current watch. First thing you notice is that the time display is only available in 24 hour format (unless I missed how to change it somewhere but I don't think so). It does not have a stopwatch function. It also does not have any database functions for storing things such as Names and telephone numbers. With 2 GB available this would have been useful. Also when in time mode you cannot read the screen at all in any kind of sunlight. Also as mentioned elsewhere, the conversion software is not very good. It actually INCREASES the size of the file from ASF mode to NXV even though it is converting for a much smaller screen. One more thing is the clasp on the strap. It is constantly loosening after using it so that it easily keeps opening up when you slide your sleeve over it. You have to use a pair of pliers to squeeze it tight again and it will last for a while longer. Please don't get me wrong though. I am extremely happy with this watch for listening to music and especially watching tv shows I copy onto it. It is a beautiful screen. I just wish the designers would add/fix the above items to make it perfect. Here's to the next release!

Mr. by liam on 01/18/2007: Hi, the watch is a good buy i reckon. The reason im not overly excited is coz i just got it and havent gotnt used to it yet. The OLED screen is very good on it and can even be used as a rudimentary flash light i found, after a power cut:) However, the nxv video format is a bit of a joke, its files are huge and an episode of family guy at high quality for example, ate more than half my memory. maybe the developers could review using the nxv format or better adapt it to the watch.

Lead Computer Tech by Mike on 01/13/2007: I have this watch, It's awesome - I can use it as a flashdrive to store programs, View Video & Photos, It will record audio with it's built in microphone, and even tell the time. I do wish it would do a slideshow of the photos though. But for the money, this little watch is great. Someone let me know where to get software updates, because I'm sure the manufacturer will add more and more features as time permits.

Head Tech by The techo kid on 01/08/2007: Great mp4 watch first off, but it dose have a draw back. The watch shows video clips, exp. 2-3mins in high qaulity,1-2.5 hrs dvd in low qaulity. Watch has great sound and can get very loud.

Video of this watch by Dave Maroons on 01/01/2007: Check out this video of the watch - http://www.oled-info.com/oled_devices/anlong_mp4_watch_video

How do I reverse the screen burn in on my HD television?

I have a 55 inch Mitsubishi projection HD television (model WS55315) that is about two years old. Within the last month it has developed a burn in image in the lower right corner. Can I do anything to reverse this burn in?

If the set is CRT based, there is not a whole lot to be done. In the future, you could try turning down the contrast to avoid any further damage. If the image is really in there (as in, really badly burned nothing will fix it). I have seen cases where the image is not that badly burned into the phosphorous of the CRT. Running the set without any logos or things like that can eventually be minimized. Also avoid leaving the set muted for any length of time. I repaired a Mitsubishi set once that had the word MUTE burned into the screen. Fortunately, the CRTs were to be replaced under a recall at the time (V10 chassis). I did show the customer what had happened because of the muting being used all the time, instead of simply turning the volume down. They were astonished, and had not noticed until they had new CRTs installed in the set.
If the set is a plasma type, the image will eventually go away, if you stay away from what caused the image in the first place, again try turning the contrast down on the channels that use a logo (opaque), instead of a watermark (translucent).
