Electric savers ideas are very useful for the welfare of the entire planet. By practicing electricity austerity at the home level, we can make substantial energy savings that will save the earth from the curse of global warming. Having a problem with my light and energy saver bulbs?
I installed 4 energy saver Phillips 9w=40w bulbs in my ceiling fan. It stayed on for about 1 min but dim. Then it shut itself off to the point i had to flip the breaker. It didn't trip it but it wouldn't come on till i flipped it. Any idea what went wrong?
If you have a dimmer switch on your ceiling fan, some of these bulbs cannot be used with dimmers, it usually says so on the package. You have to buy separate bulbs that are made to be used with dimmers and also the 3-way switches. Energy savers do not always work in 3-way, and there are also separate ones for those lamps. Check your package.
