Refresh rate on LED with DVI?
Using an LCD screen with an analog serial connector to my HP a1010n (because it didn't come with a video card with a dvi port), I get 60 Hz refresh rate, but it's a little annoying. If I get a video card (connected to the pci expander slot) that has a DVI port and use it, will that eliminate the refresh rate or improve it or what?
The monitor is an a1010n. I know at low rez I can get it up to 75 hz. Someone told me that with DVI there isn't a refresh rate. Someone else told me that I can get an improved refresh rate but if I get a really good card. Conflicting information and I don't know what to believe or of any of it is correct...
All I know is that my iMac screen and the Acer monitor on the HP have the same resolution, but while the Acer is annoying on the eyes, the iMac isn't. I just want to know how to "fix" the Acer.
It will probably stay the same.With VGA mine in 75,with DVI it's 60 too.If the card and monitor will support it, you can probably make it faster.Check the card specs and your monitor specs before you waste your money though.
