Most people think that it takes someone special to be able to carry off vintage clothing. They assume that most people don't know enough about vintage fashion to be able to appreciate them if they turn up in one.
But this fear of ridicule is actually quite irrational. While it's true that most people don't have in-depth knowledge of vintage fashion, they do realize that it is an accepted style and in fact, most people admire those who dare to put one on because they don't have the courage to.
It's difficult to go wrong at an occasion wearing vintage clothing, but there are dos and don'ts when it comes to how to wear them.
Wearing a piece of vintage fashion is more than just about style. Vintage clothing represents an era from the past and speaks volumes of its history. Wearing vintage clothes is an expression of your personality, so you should get to know more about its history to know what exactly you are trying to say about yourself.
Not everyone needs to be a Marilyn Monroe when they wear a vintage white halter dress. You need to retain your own personal style to shine through in the dress. Otherwise, it's as though you're attending a costume party pretending to be someone else.
When wearing vintage clothing, you should also rejuvenate the design with some modern fashion styles. Sticking to the original design is good, but perking it up is always better, and that also adds on to the unique factor.
If you choose to maintain the origin vintage design, be careful not to dress up in a complete set of vintage clothing. That way, you will really end up looking ridiculous. Instead of appearing fashionable, you could look more like a stage actor who just walked off a set. Vintage clothing should be complement with other modern pieces. They serve to enhance your wardrobe, not to replace it.
Lastly, fashion is mostly about confidence. How you feel about yourself affects how people will look at you. Whether it is vintage fashion or any other style, you can carry it off as long as you are comfortable in what you wear. Be natural in your vintage dress, and you can be sure you'll be the center of attraction at the party.

Where can I buy inexpensive vintage wedding gowns?
Are you looking for different types of inexpensive vintage dresses? Finding an e-tailer with a wide selection of inexpensively priced vintage wedding dresses that you can be sure are in good condition is important because older dresses that you are unable to see might have more flaws that are noticeable. For this reason it is important to shop websites that have a good online reputation, provide you with a clear return policy and keep open communication before and after the transaction. The following shops are good choices for you to search for exquisite vintage style wedding gowns at inexpensive price.
The Frock
The Frock has perhaps one of the largest online selections of recent and antique vintage dresses from couture to designer dressmakers. Not only is there a huge collection of vintage wedding gowns, but mid century, flapper, WWII, celebrity and Victorian to Edwardian period dresses. Because of the exclusivity of many of the couture designs and designers represented in The Frock collection the prices are higher than other vintage wedding dress sites or shops, but there are several bargains and it is the best priced collection I could find for the quality and exclusivity represented.
Because most of the dresses are couture, sizes are very limited, but dress sizes are always very clearly labeled in every description. For the couture collection dresses range anywhere from $700-$5000, but there are several vintage pieces from designers like Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, and Adolfo Sardia that are well priced. You can view the couture bridal collection at www.TheFrock.com.
Vintage wedding
Vintage wedding has a large selection of formal and informal vintage wedding dresses and reproduction dresses all at reasonable prices. Styles include dresses from the 1940s-1970s, Edwardian, tea length, and Victorian styles. While most of the selections are new, there are some that have been worn but are still in great condition. Every dress comes with a very detailed description including the measurements of the entire dress, the style and design features and the condition of the dress, but it is still always a good idea to inquire further about the condition of the material.
The sizes of the dresses available at this site range from petite to plus size and are very reasonably priced based on the style of the dress and its condition. A vintage 1940's dress in great condition is priced at $450 while a newer vintage princess style gown is priced at $500. What are some stores that still sell vintage Superman comics and other collectibles?
Growing up, I never had the opportunity nor the means (and time) to collect Superman comics.... I only started collecting them (newer issues and continuity), but I lost them. Don't know where they are. Plus, I still don't have the old ones.
I'm not sure but craiglist.com might help.
