Laser Plotter
The plotter in simple manner is defined next to a printer; it works uniquely and is used in the applications of engineering purposes. The pen type plotters are best used in computer aided design applications like the AutoCAD used in the engineering drawing and architectural plans in the visible portion. The pen plotters are less used for technical printing as it is built up with the delicate pens and it is only capable of drawing limited lines, not the color mixing and advanced level working.
The pen plotters have further different shapes as it can be of flatbed type or the drum plotters. The flat bed plotters sketches horizontally and vertically on the thin paper and the drum plotter draws lines horizontally and the paper under it revolves as commanded. The inkjets and laser plotters have no comparison; it is famous for offering better results. The inkjets and the laser printers are used in the creative meanings like that of advertising agencies and in the use of graphic designers. These plotters are used for the large outputs, used as colorful banners and billboards, signs and color images with larger appearance usually settled at road corners. These plotters might at sometimes be rough as they do no read the CAD format and rely on Windows print devices and these plotters tend to be very similar to the home printers and are easy to use. He type of plotter as the laser printers uses laser beam for its functioning via a drum on the paper. These plotters offer a high quality result in the color or black or white production image. Though its performance is more enhance than those of inkjets but it costs higher obviously.

canceling projects in the Print queue?
At work we use a large plotter to print maps. Since they take some time to print, the jobs tend to stack up. One of my co-workers decided to cancel my queued print jobs (as i am just an intern and she is a full time employee...angry) I know it was canceled because i frequently have the print viewer open and saw it become canceled. I would just like to know if there is a way that i can get a log of the print jobs of the day so i can prove that it was canceled on paper.
...and I'm quitting this job for reasons such as this...children
Yes you could and both Apple and Windows have these logs but you need to be an admin to get them. Ask the System Admin for it.
