Barbeque smokers are considered an investment for two reasons. First, the term investment is used because smokers are generally expensive. Second, because these cooking equipment work wonders with any type of food you put inside the chamber. They actually can add taste and even flavors to your meat!
Before buying a used barbeque smoker, you should keep in mind 4 basic things.
1. A used smoker should only be previously owned, and not broken.
Defective or problematic items are common items usually seen in yard or garage sales. Keep in mind that your purchase shall be worth your money. It's understandable why you're choosing to get a second-hand bbq smoker unit, but just because it's cheap, it doesn't mean it's a good purchase.
Do not settle for a 'slightly' defective smoker. There's a reason why people are selling it. People who sell used items normally don't have a reliable word.
2. Ask for the user manual.
From here, you can actually gauge on how the owners are keen on taking care of their things. It's always good to know that owners of used items were able to keep the user manuals of the items. This way, you'll know how to maintain the bbq smoker when the ownership is transferred, and we all know that smokers can be quite difficult to maintain.
There are different types of bbq smokers in the market and some have different maintenance instructions than others. If the seller failed to keep the original user manual, check first if you can get a copy online. Print it and put it up on the fridge.
3. The price can determine the age of the item.
You'd want to be more careful with smoker units priced at a very low rate. However, pricing is sometimes based on the age of the item. If the owner has had the bbq smoker for a very long period of time, then it's understandable why he might be selling it at a very cheap price. Inspect and try to figure out why the smoker is being sold in the first place, and then why the cheap price. Check to see if the parts are loosely placed, if the chamber has suffered too much heat due to the charcoal or flame, if the smoker unit shuts completely or if the airflow is still good.
4. The branded ones help.
When buying a used bbq pit, it's best to go for ones from a famous or reliable brands. You can back up its reliability by browsing online for product reviews. Also, it would help you more with customer support if you go for branded ones instead of the ones from less-known manufacturers. If ever the used bbq smoker gets problematic, you can easily call customer service as if you're the original owner. This is simply because well-known brands offer customer support even long after the warranty expires.
Knowing these 4 basic things give you a general view of how you should be buying a previously owned item. A used bbq smoker is always a good buy, regardless if it's brand-new or second-hand.

A Learner's Manual to the History of Tarot Cards
One of the more common means of telling fortunes and offering insights into the olden days and destiny is the tarot. Tarot cards first off originated in Italy in the first half of the fifteenth century as a card game, used purely for recreation. This early game was something like the novel game of Bridge. The use of tarot cards for divination is primary recorded in the early 1700s and by the end of the 18th century; changes were made to tarot cards to make them more suitable for divination and esoteric meanings. Originally, tarot cards had no connection to the occult, and this link is a more current one than the cards themselves. The specifics of the concurrent cards, contrived for esoteric purposes, have their basis in the 19th century.
Tarot cards are separated into one major arcana and five suits, namely: The Major Arcana, The Suit of Wands, The Suit of Coins, The Suit of Cups, and the Suit of Swords.
The suits are separated as well. Their points' worth and specific meanings are determined by being one of Oudlers/Trulls, Kings, Queens, Cavaliers, Jacks, or Others. Oudlers and Kings demonstrate the same value; the others from Queens to Jacks are worth one point less than their predecessors.
Despite this, the English-speaking world pays more attention to the divinatory meanings of the cards, which will be tackled in the next area.
Every card has a dissimilar meaning, depending upon what the card's suit is, and if it is part of the Minor or Major Arcana. All of the Tarot cards are numbered, so each card serves a reader with a specific numerological value which may be interpreted while divination practices. Furthermore, the meanings of the cards evolve depending upon where the cards appear in a studying, as well as what specimen of card layout is used. The cards are read both singularly and together to get a complete deciphering. The larger favorite layouts are the three card spread and the Celtic Cross.
When card readings are conducted face-to-face, the card reader will occasionally ask the querent to shuffle the cards as they concentrate on the question. The querent will now and again be asked to split the deck into three piles, and then to put the deck back together again. The card reader then lays out the cards in a specific pattern, and each card has a diverse meaning, depending upon the layout used. For example, the card reader may layout three cards, one to signify the good old days, one for the present and one for the destiny: every one of three cards together give a plethoric interpretation of a given situation.
Telephone readings are generally more available than the street readings. A simple Google search will provide one with more options than one can normally locate in the local roads. These readings are available for more or less £5.00 per understanding.
Phone readings are generally cheaper because being online the tarot card readers can appeal to a larger audience, and through which they do not present to over charge, as there is no lack of customers.
There is, nonetheless, a drawback to phone readings: a lack of mystique. According to tarot card purists, again, phone readings are less effective than the typical face-to-face studying. Unfounded as this argument might be, it is enough to sway deciphering prices lower, and for those who believe in astrology, this may determine a whole lot.
This industry is largely encouraged by the evolution of online communication. While olden days services present only been for local phone lines or party lines, the Internet has encouraged a excessive market aggrandizement in tarot card readings over the phone.
Although tarot is labeled something that is as accurate as astrology, there is still a growing tarot service market that is ever increasing through new mediums. Be that as it may, purists still think that a face to face tarot deciphering is important. It is also important to note that tarot cards are not purely divinatory devices. They are also used in scarcely any countries as cards used for playing. This alone should encourage tarot card users to keep a level head.

What is the 2009 at the bottom left part of the cover of the original AD&D monster manual is for?
I just got the classic one (1979 I was told) but it has a 2009 in the lower left corner. Is it a reprint, or does that mean something else?
It might be the copy of print. I own an original AD&D Monster copy from 1979 and it says 2011 on it.
