Making backup PS2 games is not hard once you know what to do. Making these backup copies is well worth it once you know that you don't have to worry about your gaming disc getting damaged or misplaced.
If you want to make backup copies of your PS2 games you have to do some simple things. One of the first things you have to do is find out if your PS2 game needs a CD-R or DVD-R method of copying.
To find this out you will have to look on the side of the disc that console reads. This is the side on the disc that doesn't have a logo or title. To tell the difference, if the side is purple then it is the CD style, and if the side is silver then it is the DVD style.
Once you have determined what method of copying your game needs you will then begin your game copier software. There are many video game copying software available out there. It is up to you to find the best software you can find to make backup PS2 games effectively.
Once you have the right software you will then put in the original PS2 game disc inside the DVD/CD drive of your computer. The game copier software you're using should recognize that you have put in the video game you wish to copy and backup.
You can choose options after copy disc if your software didn't recognize it. With most software you should notice an option for game disc.
You must be certain that the software understands that it is making a game disc image instead of a CD or DVD. You don't want the software to save the game data as a DVD chapter.
You will then need to tell the game copier software to save an image of the disk to your hard drive. You shouldn't attempt to copy and backup PS2 games in a simultaneous read/write mode. You don't want to do this because the data needed is typically too big.
You will now need to put in the right blank disc inside your CD/DVD drive of your PC. Now tell the game copier software to burn an image of the data you saved. Using a game copier software is the easiest way to backup PS2 games.

Grand Theft Auto IV is an upcoming sandbox-style action adventure video game. It will be the ninth title (and the first in the fourth generation) in the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise. It will be released worldwide on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will be set in a redesigned Liberty City, based heavily on New York City and New Jersey.
Niko Bellic is Eastern European, between 28 and 32 years of age and has come to Liberty City to pursue the "American Dream". Niko was persuaded to move to Liberty City by his cousin Roman, who claimed in multiple e-mails to Niko that he was living a fabulous life, with a mansion, women, hot tubs and sports cars. Roman's claims turn out to be lies to hide his own failures, however, and in reality he only owns a small taxi business, which he wants Niko to work for.
Roman is the only person Niko knows in Liberty City to begin with, and is one of his major connections in the first part of the game. Niko is a tough character, whereas Roman is friendly. Roman is heavily in debt and a lot of people are after him. He desperately needs Niko's support, hence the reason he deceived Niko into travelling to Liberty City. They are constantly bickering. It is later revealed that Niko has also been avoiding other, as yet undisclosed, problems at home. Both characters are new and there are virtually no returning players.
