Several laptop battery charging tips

1, nickel-metal hydride batteries and lithium batteries

At present the major use of two kinds of laptop batteries: Ni-MH battery and lithium batteries. Since there are two kinds of the battery market, of course, also have their own advantages and disadvantages. The most obvious one, that is, when buying cell phones, we have Gaode quite understand, that is, Ni-MH battery cheaper than lithium batteries, its negative side is the volume and weight are relatively larger. The characteristics of lithium batteries with them just the opposite. Because users prefer lighter, thinner, longer battery to maintain a notebook computer, so lithium batteries more popular pursuit of high-end products favored customers.

2, charging techniques

Some notebook computers equipped with lithium batteries, such as the use of SBS Smart battery system technology, accurate measurement of battery life, so use this to worry some. If you use nickel-metal hydride batteries, should be careful not to frequent over-charging, otherwise it will reduce the battery life, so a good control of charging time.

Ni-MH battery should be fully discharged before charging, the charge should be fully charged, use the methods and attention to issues with the use of cell phones nickel-metal hydride battery is the same. Buy a new nickel-metal hydride cell phone batteries, required to complete three complete charge and discharge after further normal use it, the laptop battery so should we.

Most users accustomed to using a laptop computer each time, plug the AC power supply, very little battery power for laptops. In fact, for at least a month should be used to power batteries once or twice, the battery completely run out, draw a line on a one-time full of alternating current. Remember this one: For the rechargeable battery for full charge with a dry, useful and harmless, but done a little trouble.

When you need to replace the notebook computer batteries, preferably selected the same model to replace the battery. However, if the old computer using a nickel-metal hydride batteries, in order to make longer battery-powered, of course, can also be specified by the computer user's manual or manufacturers recommended models use lithium batteries.

Third, how to set up energy-saving

Desktop machines using alternating current, most people may not be the computer attached great importance to energy-saving features, but need to use battery-powered notebook computers, the use of energy-saving features should be taken seriously. How to design computer hardware more energy-efficient, this is not a user problem to be solved. The user can do is set up on the computer the effective use of energy-saving option.

Energy-saving settings require the user to adjust two: First, in the computerBIOSSet the program on energy-saving mode settings; most important thing is the operating system, such asWindowsXPThere are many energy-saving settings and operations. Microcomputer system in the actual implementation, theWindowsThe system should take precedence over energy-saving settingsCMOSSettings.

1. BIOS The energy-saving settings

At CMOS Set of medium and large have a"Power Savings", Which can choose to"Maximum Battery Life"And"Maximum Performance"And many other options."Maximum Battery Life"Energy-saving mode is the default setting. Notebook computer power saving mode in several states, such as theIdle Mode Idle mode,Standby ModeStandby (wait) mode,Suspend ModeSuspension (sleep) mode. Notebook computers, these settings have been able to regulate power consumption, mainly in the computer into energy-saving state, the timely closure of some without the use of the system equipment. If the wait state, turn off the screen and hard drive; into hibernation, apart from a close monitor and hard drive, but also the contents of memory can be saved to the hard disk, the basic maintenance of the entire computer system shut down, once activated, or restart the computer, desktop will be accurately restored to pre-hibernation state. AtCMOSThe energy-saving settings, mainly set up by the "Idle Mode"Entry"Standby Mode"The"Standby Timeout"Time, set by the"Standby Mode"Entry"Suspend Mode"The"Suspend Timeout"Time. Notebook computer use"Phoenix BIOS"Are most common. DifferentBIOSEnergy-saving settings may be somewhat different, it should carefully read the screen prompts.

2. WindowsThe energy-saving settings

For the average user, in theWindowsSystem to operate a better understanding of energy management can be simpler.WindowsHelp file, in the"Management of hardware and software"Entry, there are two notebook computers with energy-saving elements relating to:"Management of energy consumption"And"The use of portable computer"The"Management of portable computer power supply". DuringWindowsEnergy-saving setting, should read the contents.

AtWindowsThe"Control Panel", Click"Power", You can open the"Power Management Properties"Dialog box. At"Power Management Properties"Dialog box, should be"Power Schemes"Set"Portable, laptop", And reasonable arrangements for"System wait","Close Monitors","Turn off hard disks"And other options. Different computer can control the option to have some differences, the new factory and the latest computer software will be more workable options, detailed settings should be based on the computer's own functions andwindowsHelp file to carry out.

If you need to completely run out of battery in the electrical energy discharge means no need to look for something else, only need to"Power Management Properties"Dialog Lieutenant"Power Schemes"Set"Always Open"Will"System wait"And"Close Monitors"And other options set to never, and also allow computer to automatically run a number of computational complexity of the3dDemo program, this will soon be able to use dry battery power remaining, of course, these disposal not forget to unplug the AC plug.

Chemical or Physical?

Would these be chemical or physical properties?
a. Corrosiveness
b. Magnetism
c. Ability to burn rapidly
Would these be chemical changes, physical changes, or both?
a. A block of silicon chips being sliced into wafers to be
used in microcomputer chips
b. Steam condensing on the bathroom mirror as
someone takes a shower
c. Dynamite exploding and destroying an old building
d. The growth of a child

Thanks for your help!

Corrosivness- This would be a chemical change. Basically a change in the substance by way of a chemical reaction.

Magnetism-This would be a physical change, no chemical reaction

Ability to burn rapidly. The ability of something to burn more rapidly involves the consumption of more oxygen therefore it is a chemical change

a- Physical change. No chemical reaction only a change in shape or physical appearance
b-Physical change. Water is only changing forms from a liquid to a gas.
c-It would be both. It would be the dynamite exploding and it changing from a solid stick to tiny bits and pieces
d-Physical consideriing the change in size and chemical due to for example the insides of the child developing
