Massive facial trauma and angioedema conditions in battlefields can call for an emergency circothyrotomy procedure. Emergency circothyrotomy is usually performed when there is an obstruction in the thoracic airway and orotracheal or nasotracheal intubation is not possible. The procedure is easy to perform as it doesn't require cervical spine manipulation.
To perform this procedure, a trained physician normally makes an incision between the thyroid cartilage and the circothyroid cartilage. Following this slit, another transverse incision in the circothyroid membrane is done. To further enlarge the hole, a clamp is inserted and rotated 90 degrees. Later an endotracheal tube with an internal diameter of 6 to 7 mm is inserted to inflate the cuff.
Following this process, a bag valve device preferably with high concentration of oxygen is used to provide ventilation to the person. The pocket BVM (Bag Valve Mask) can be used for this process. The success of the procedure is monitored by the rise and fall of the chest. The endotracheal tube is removed only after the person is moved to a hospital or a medical care center. The procedure was first given by a French surgeon and anatomist, Vicq d' Azyr and due to its life saving capabilities, Circothyrotomy gained popularity.
A first responder or a physician who is trained in the circothyrotomy procedure must carry a circothyrotomy set that has a catheter, sterile syringe, and endotracheal tube to handle acute respiratory distress situations with ease.
The Tactical Medical Module-Cricothyrotomy (TMM-CR) allows easy and quick access to the airway through the circothyroid membrane in a compact, lightweight package. Get airway kits and Circothyrotomy sets at this online store at reduced prices.

A Range of Interesting Kit Home Designs
Kit Home Varieties
There exist a fair amount of kit home varieties, each with its associated advantages as well as disadvantages. Regardless of which type you choose however, you can be guaranteed that they all have the following in common:
More affordable - Energy-efficient
That being said, let's take a look at some kit home varieties.
The Quon Modular
This kit home is assembled, weighs more than 1.5 tons which means your home won't be blown into the neighbors back yard (where applicable) and can achieve an energy-efficiency rating of up to six stars, which means this is the ideal dwelling for those with an affinity for the environment.
Typically, Quon Modular units are about 5m wide and can be stacked or attached, which makes this the ideal living solution for those who want to start out small but may want to expand when the time or necessity arises.
With double-glazed windows and made from recycled class 1 durable timber, insulation won't be a problem and, as such, even more will be saved on electricity and /or gas costs. Although no planning permit is required to erect this kit home, do take note that you may require a building permit as well as the specialized services of a builder, plumber and an electrician.
The TS1 (Transportable Space 1)
It is , this is a transportable single room measuring 3.5m x 3.5m. It weighs enough to ensure stability and rests upon nine telescopic stilts which means it has an absolute minimal impact on the environment.
Like its bigger counterpart, the Quon Modular, this dwelling can either stand on its own or be expanded by adding additional modules. As such this is will make an ideal first home for students or individuals who don't require a lot of space and appreciate the prospect of simplified relocation (just pack up your home and reassemble at your destination).
Pre-built Kit Homes
These homes are prefabricated, which means that the components used to construct these dwellings have been manufactured in a factory. While this is also the case with the aforementioned two types of homes, these kit homes are available in a variety of materials and can range from a simple granny flat to a mansion. The different types of pre-built kit homes include:
- Steel-frame kit homes (excellent against termites, won't warp and provides a measure of protection against tornados) - Timber-frame kit homes (design flexibility, your own choice of wood for that ultimate 'home' feeling) - Panelized kit homes (the walls are preassembled panels that are easily erected) - Geodesic kit homes & circular kit homes (efficiency in terms of energy, provides protection against tornados and cyclones).
A Home For All
The above kit home types represent only a small percentage of the various kit home types available on the market. However it becomes evident that, as opposed to conventional brick & mortar homes, kit homes make it possible for anyone and everyone to afford a living space to call their own.
Put in a little effort and do the necessary research to ensure that you get the home you want, at a price that will suit your pocket.

What's the difference between a motor module and a servo module for vex robotics?
We use vex robotic kits at school, and I know that there's two kinds.
Is it that motor modules work continuously and servo modules have a limit to how much they work?
And also does anyone know the 6 components of any robot?
Thanks for your help.
A plain motor will run and stop, and provide torque for a given current and a given load (mechanical).
A servo motor can be moved to any position (within the resolution of the windings; i.e. 1.8 degrees, 5 degrees, etc.) and will stay there -- or, it can be set to a constant speed. Servo motors are generally equiped with either a tachometer or some kind of angle indicator. The speed or angle can be used as feedback in a servo LOOP to control the speed, or position of the motor shaft. If position is used as feedback, then the servo motor may be moved to any angle and stay there, even if external mechanical forces act on the thing the motor is attached to. If speed is used as feedback, then the speed of the motor can be fixed at a constant value and it will not change even if the load changes.
