This modern innovation will grant you the relaxation and experience real life movie theaters provide.
Having the basic components such as the big screen and speakers with clear and flicker free images from a high quality DVD may provide the almost real movie theater experience. Home theater experts recommend that before you decide on the final set-up and equipments for your home theater system, the size of the place maybe the first consideration. If you have a small size room for your home theater system, television set may be best placed in the center and three speakers placed on the left, right and center might be enough to provide the surround sound you want in a movie theater. However, if you have a bigger place, a home theater projector might be best to provide the big screen requirement. Home theater projector screen can provide the real-life movie theater experience. It is therefore necessary that if you have a huge room for your home theater system, in combination with your home theater projector and home theater projector screen, adding more speakers around the room could be a neat recommendation. It may also be necessary for you to require the services of a home theater designer in order to complete the home theater package that will give you the best entertainment. This will avoid having to spend unreasonably for your home theater system including your home theater projector. Buying unrealistically huge capacity equipments for your home theater is possible especially if you do not know what are the possible choices and their differentiations that your home theater may require. A too huge home theater projector screen and the total set-up of your home theater system should be of great consideration. Your home theater designer may also provide options that may not require a television set for your home theater. How is this so? The reason for this is the technological innovations provided by your computer and home theater projectors. Your home and office home theater system setup is an innovation only a few intelligent consumers can avail of. However, I am sure that knowing all these options and the basic television, three speakers and DVD player may be worthy for people who wants a home theater, you may not really need a home theater projector if the room for your home theater system is not very huge. HD DVD or Blu Ray Disc ?
Should I go for an HD DVD player or an XBox 360 (which supports HD) or should I go for a Blu Ray Disc player or a Sony playerStation 3 (Supports Blu Ray) ? Out of these 4 , I'd like to go for the best in terms of video and audio quality output. Gaming doesnt matter to me. I also have heard that n HD can provide an output of only 5.1 while a blu ray provides 7.1 Further, are there any players (either hd or br) that provide separate outputs for each of my speakers? That would really improve sound quality, right? Also, does a blu ray play hd's and not cd's while an hd plays cd's (as in audio cd's), or do i have to buy a separate cd player because the audio quality from a dvd player is not that good? Btw, I plan to buy Jamo THX surround system, soon. What will be the best thing to go with it ? I'm also planning to buy an Onkyo reciever with it (804), and an LCD Plasma Projector...Infocus In82. Does the combination sound right? Please help soon. Thanks.
Well, from what I've seen recently on PRICEGRABBER. com....Sony's Blu Ray prices have dropped dramatically !!
That's a smart move for them.....
So the Blu Ray / HD DVD wars have begun.....
Choose Blu-Ray....the picture isn't any better, but the storage on the DVD is higher.
Also, concerning 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby.....7.1 Dolby signal is actually 5.1 's DISCRETE signal taken apart by a microprocessor to create 2 more FAKE channels that don't exist....they are just used to "fill in" between the Left/right REAR surround and the Front/Rear MIDDLE surround.....
It does a good job, but it is NOT it's own separate channel for those.....5.1 uses SEPARATE and Discrete channels of information for each output....
So 5.1 is all you need in reality...but 7.1 amps seem to have become prevalent to the point that 5.1 amps are getting rarer and very hard to find nowadays.....
OVERALL your theater system sounds good, but it's a MATTER of Personal preference....
LIKE MINE....I have a Hitachi Projection CRT with Verizon TV....
(DON'T tell me it sucks, I like it)
And I HAD an ONKYO 5.1
(Don't tell me it sucks, I NOW dislike that brand anyways),
until it blew up and WHACKED the entire channel (Capacitive coupling I'd take you over Direct coupling ANYDAY)
But I'm SERIOUSLY thinking DENON for Christmas...(Yamaha is in 2nd place)
And it's going to be 7.1 because it's hard to find 5.1 anymore...
