Pro .NET Oracle Programming
List Price: $59.99
Sale Price: $30.44

This book never loses sight of its instructional mission: to effectively utilize the Oracle database from the .NET environment. Though Visual Studio and Oracle form a popular and powerful duo, there is a noticeable lack of written material in this area. The result: projects that often turn out with less-than-optimal solutions, due to lack of synergy between the application developer and the database. The primary code in the book will be C#, but the code download will also be available in Visual Basic .NET (with an appendix describing terms of use). Hence, this book provides a one-stop reference for any VS .NET programmer using Oracle. The author maintains solid focus on databases, emphasizing the use of specific features from a Visual Studio application. The text also includes crucial aspects of developing Oracle-based applications. Assumably, you are already comfortable with the VS .NET environment, and with the aid of this book, you will come to work effectively with the Oracle database as well.

Innovative Approach Used In VXA Backup Tape Format
Tape drives based on the helical scan and linear technologies use “streaming” technique for transferring data. In these tape drives the read head reads the data in a single pass from the data tracks. The tape speed is fixed during the read process. For achieving peak efficiency in these tape drives, it is necessary that the buffer of the tape drive should be kept full by the host system. VXA backup tape format has incorporated a new innovative technique of “variable tape speed”.
If the SCSI bus is busy or the host system is slow, then the streaming may be ceased in the helical scan & linear tape drives. In such situation the tape drive is forced to reverse and then it again resumes the data writing operation. This unfavorable and time delaying process is called back-hitching. Back hitching not only affects the overall performance and efficiency of the tape drive, but additional stress is also placed on the tape media. Highly durable VXA data tapes with lifetime warranty are available. Contact Tape4backup dot com for more details.
VXA tape technology has the best solution to solve the back hitching problem. VXA backup tape format has incorporated a new innovative technique of “variable tape speed”. This technique matches the tape speed with that of the host system. Therefore with the help of variable speed operation, the performance of VXA tape drive is optimized and the unnecessary stress on the tape media is also minimized. Entirely new, different and innovative approach has been used in the VXA backup tape format, which has proved to be the most reliable and efficient recording technique.
The other tape formats use streaming data that comprise of long blocks. In VXA tape technology, the data comprising of long strings is broken into smaller units of data called data packets. Afterwards a wrapper is added to these data units for their verification. This is called DPF (discrete packet format). The data packets are comprised of data string. The discrete packet format allows the data packets to move into the data buffer at different times where the data packets are re-assembled to retrieve the data into its original form.
Contact www.tape4backup.com and order now the durable VXA tape cartridges with special discounts.
Data packet contains CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Check) code, unique address, synchronization marker, ECC (Error Correction Code) and user data of 64 bytes. 387 data packets are contained in each track. These packets are read and recorded through a buffer array. Two sets of overlapped data tracks are recorded by 2 head pairs that are located on the drum. Each pair’s first tape head writes the data while the other tape head verifies the data integrity by reading the data after it has been written (read after write). VXA tape format has 4-level correction system for checking and removing errors. It has two phases. Reed Solomon ECC is added to each data packet that enables it to correct and remove the small typical errors that can be generated as a result of phase shifts or noise. Then all these packets are moved into the buffer segment where an array is form that comprises of 3D Reed Solomon ECC.

Dot-Com Bubble Question.?
I'm making a paper about the dot-com bubble,"I love Economics but I'm not sharp at it" and I had a questions:
How did the sales of the huge tech companies like "IBM, Dell, Sisco" affect NASDAQ to begin declining, on March 10 2000?
Actually, is it supposed that the stock market decline like that if such huge sales are done?
Was the bubble going to be fine_going to be not bubble_, and those sales blew it up? or was it going to burst anyway and the dales were just an accelerator factor?
Or was that just a coincident and the two events had nothing in common?
I'd be really grateful if you can supply me with some sources.
@ Kev; thank you Kev, but I understand that part but I want to understand the incidents on March 10 2000 and after, especially that one.
It was a bubble.. Everybody was priced based on unrealistic projections. You had Airline booking companies being valued at more than the airline it sold tickets for. You had Telcos estimating growth at exponential factors that then trigger Equipment makers like Cisco to be overvalued based on expected demand.. etc, etc...
As with all bubbles, somebody said "Show Me The Money" to these .COMs burning through cash. When nobody could justify why they spent $100/million on TV Commericals and only booked $100,000k in revenue, the wave of selloffs started. IPO money dried up. And everything came crashing down.
