Nintendo DS is a handheld gaming system that has been around for many years, and has been loved by girls of any age since the very beginning. This year, Nintendo will be stocking store shelves with some of the best DS games for kids. As expected, there is a Nintendo DS game available for just about any hobby, movie, or game imaginable, so the hardest thing you'll need to do when finding the perfect one for the girl on your list is choosing which ones NOT to give, since your options will be endless! To get your job started, here are some of 2010's top Nintendo DS games for girls.
At the top of the best DS games for kids list is Cooking Mama, the first game in a long line of cooking games set to come out of the next few years. Cooking Mama is a game where you a given a time limit to pretend to prepare, cook, and present a huge variety of meals. Cooking Mama, who is also your guide through the game, will judge your meal on a scale of 0 to 100. Another great game for girls out this year is the Littlest Pet Shop, where kids can learn how to run their own pet shop. In the game, players are taught how to care for pets while also learning how to budget funds and purchase supplies. Both of these games are available at £15-£30.
If cooking and pet shops don't really hit the mark for the girl you're buying for, don't worry - there are still a lot more games to choose from! Other best DS games for kids include Disney Princess: Magic Jewels, which allows players to choose their favorite Disney princess, and power through levels that help to restore the magic in their respective kingdom. Some other best sellers are in the form of karaoke games, one from Camp Rock (The Final Jam) and another from Hannah Montana (Music Jam).

More iPhone Games known, but App Store to Face Piracy?
With the Apple's advancement in their technology in the iPhone and iTouch, more and more people are getting hooked to having it the gadget to go. With the great graphics and multi-touch sensitivity, more games are being made by both individuals and independent software developers such as Beteo Games (http://www.beteogames.com) and more on the rise.
The easy access to a software development tool, and affordable registration to the app store has somewhat opened Apple's doors to game producers to make more money by delivering it directly to customers. With the more costly production cost of the Nintendo DS and PSP, it is almost an instinct to make the move to producing iPhone Games.
Creativity is the promise of independent software developers, and fresh blood can pour in into the iPhone and iTouch, producing games for every age and taste.
But as more and more games are produced, so is the idea born of getting free games, or another term for piracy, such as what happened to the PC Gaming world. Many gaming platforms are already facing this dilemma, but could iPhone be next?
Word is spreading out that you can get any iPhone app for free, as to the app store has not given any sort of protection to the host that produces this games. But is it worth it? Is iphone gaming in peril?
If you are a software developer, then you should really think about this issue because you might face the problem of piracy, all those effort to make great games might be in vain. Popular gaming consoles have different layers of protection, making them a great consideration for any producer.
If you are a game aficionado who likes to steal games, I tell you it is not worth it. iPhone apps are selling very cheap, cheaper than PC or other handheld gaming consoles, so spending a little on can make you show your appreciation to the producers to their effort of producing such quality games, or you may not experience any great games anymore at all in the future.

15 years ago there was this famous game where there was this circular pad in it 20 circles with fish that open / closes their mouthes. Then you would have to hook with a string in one of their mouth to catch em. Can anyone remember the name of this?
The game is called Let's Go Fishin', its been around for as long as I can remember. Amazon and Toys R Us still sell them. They also make versions for Disney Princess, and many other themes now.
