I need some technical computer jargon for a story?
I'm writing a story, and I need to write a conversation about a computer problem. Trouble is, I'm hopeless with computers. Would anyone be able to tell me in detailed technical computer terms how to fix a computer/Internet problem? (Any, it doesn't matter what the problem is, as long as it is true). I have tried looking for computer jargon on the Internet, but because I don't know how to fix a computer problem to begin with, I don't know how to use it!

just an idea....
the user's graphics card driver (driver is software that makes the hardware, in this case the graphics card, work) needs to be updated. right click on My Computer and click on Manage, In the left side pane look for Device Manager, double click on that and on the right side pane you will see all the devices installed on the computer, next double click on Display adapters, under that you will see your graphics card, right click it and go to Properties, next click on the Drivers tab on the top, and click Update Driver, then the user could have the computer search the internet and the computer would install it by its self, or if the user had the updated driver on a CD or a external harddrive (USB memory stick) they could locate it manually. Thats about it...hope this works....although there are 100's of different ideas
