Protect your ears while keeping yourself motivated at your job site with your favorite tunes or radio programming with the AO Safety 90541 WorkTunes with digital tuning hearing protector, which includes an integrated AM/FM radio and a stereo input jack for connecting an MP3 player. A great choice for use on construction sites (check your local regulations), in your workshop, or in your yard while mowing or blowing, the WorkTunes hearing protector offers an EPA noise reduction rating of 22 decibels. The lightweight gel/foam ear cushions offer comfort for extended wear. You'll enjoy convenient, comfortable hearing protection from the WorkTunes headset, which features lightweight gel/foam cushions that feel great even after wearing for an entire day, an adjustable stainless steel headband with padded top. Hearing protectors are recommended whenever you encounter extended periods of sound levels regularly exceeding 85 dBA--essentially, a level of noise where you feel the need to shout in order to be heard by someone just 3-feet away (see a chart showing typical sound levels). The radio and its controls are housed in one cup, and you'll be able to quickly tune to your desired AM or FM radio stations with the easily accessible seek/scan tuning buttons. Reception strength may vary depending upon location. You can also save up to 10-preset stations with a dedicated key that sits below the LCD screen, which offers a large-sized display of the radio frequency. Other controls include a combined on/off/volume control and a toggle button that switches between AM and FM radio. The LCD screen also offers a low battery indicator (see a larger schematic image of all controls). You can also connect an optional MP3 player (such as an Apple iPod), CD player or other portable devices such as a scanner via the stereo input jack (35.mm male-to-male cable not included). Additionally, the WorkTunes headset protects your hearing from both the external environment and the music you're listening to thanks to a volume control limiter that tops out at 85 dB. The radio and digital input are powered by 2 AA batteries (not included), which provide approximately 140 hours of operating time. The WorkTunes hearing protector combines an AM/FM radio with digital input for connecting your MP3 player (see larger schematic image).

Using the Ipod in Bmw Car Stereo Systems Makes an Already Great Ride Even Better
Everybody loves the iPod. From this tiny device smaller than a deck of cards comes a behemoth of storage and playback potential. iPods on the largest end of the data storage spectrum can hold up to 20,000 songs. With that kind of amassing of songs, you will never run out of your favorites. Even better, did you know that if you are a BMW owner that you can play your iPod through you car's stereo system? An iPod for BMW use is completely possible with the application of an iPod kit that includes an adapter. With the BMW ipod adaptor kit, cables connect the iPod to the adapter, and another cable connects the adapter to your auto stereo system's CD changer and thus to your radio. The integration of your ipod in BMW driving, takes an already great driving experience and moves it to the next level of fun.
One of the most distinctive features of the iPod is the white earphones, which are called earbuds. Features of the ipod for BMW use can include an iPod steering wheel with controls already built in, or you can choose to change songs, fast forward, rewind and the other common iPod functions from your radio buttons.
The latest iPods, the fifth generation, come with 80 gigabytes of storage. This is the model that has video capabilities, a bright display and the music search function. While the first to fifth generation iPods rely on built-in hard drives, the iPod Mini uses Microdrives, and the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle use Flash memory. The flash memory reduces the physical size of the unit, which makes it even more convenient to take with you, but it also reduces the storage capacity held therein.
No matter which iPod you own, you need a way to keep all of the vast store of data held on it organized. iTunes was created with just that function in mind. iTunes can also connect to iTunes Store, where you can purchase not only music, but music videos, TV shows, games, audiobooks, podcasts, and amazingly feature-length films.
iPods allow you to categorize your music into playlists. When in use with your iPod, your playlist can play the songs you select in sequence, or if you want some more variety and spontaneity, the songs can play in random order. The advantage of the playlists is that you can, in advance, pick out the songs you want to listen to during a particular time while in your vehicle, all without constant interaction from you as you are driving. If you are a commuter, it can get a little hectic sometimes, and on occasion tempers can flare out on the freeway. You can set yourself up, however, to arrive at work in a calm attitude when you select peaceful songs to listen to as you drive. An iPod makes it easy to set the atmosphere you want anytime you drive your BMW.

Can I hook an AUX cable to my stock car stereo - Ford Ranger?
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger xlt with the mach mp3 stereo. I was wondering if I could run a 1/8"standard headphone sized AUX cable from the back of it so I could hook my zune mp3 player up to it. I am getting tired of carrying CDs around, there is no tape deck for a tape adapter, and the FM tuners just never work that well. Is this possible without replacing the whole stereo?
You can try one of these,it runs through your antenna so it's not wireless like an fm transmitter.
