With over 1200 plastic pieces, the task of building this monstrosity may be daunting, but the payoff-- blasting a coaster car up, down, and around the perilous ride-- is well worth the long assembly time. While assembly is part of the fun, it certainly doesn't hurt that the instructions include over sixty pages of colorful, detailed illustrations. The color-coded plastic assembly pieces are easy to identify and each clicks nicely into place so that kids can build with confidence. The motorized blaster requires three "C" batteries (not included) that must be installed with the help of a screwdriver. Once the coaster is complete, kids will be proud of their work and excited by the ride that awaits. Five graphic panels provide a final decorative flourish to the volcano-shaped structure. Then, it's blast-off time! Kids should wait a few seconds after turning on the motorized blaster to allow it to spool up. After gently pushing the coaster car into place, kids can watch in awe as the car blasts to a height of four feet. If the track pieces have been properly connected, the car will race along the entire length of the 20-foot track. Otherwise, if the car gets hung up, the assembly instructions make it easy for kids to identify design flaws in the track and make the necessary corrections. Optional Turbo Booster Coaster for Added Excitement! The fun doesn't end with the completion of the Lava Launch Coaster. Kids will find additional instructions on the K'NEX Web site to build a second model, the Turbo Booster Coaster, using the same building set. Additionally, separately sold K'NEX building sets allow kids to add more rides like a Ferris Wheel or Octopus Whirl to create their very own model amusement park. Christmas Celebration Christmas Celebration
List Price: $11.94
Sale Price: $0.98

One of the more impressive things about A Christmas Celebration is its glowing immediacy. The record's rich vocals and colorful instrumentals create a concert-like setting, reprising the season's most loved hymns, carols, and pop standards, along with a Gaelic version of "That Night in Bethlehem." Unexpected numbers such as "Christmas Pipes" and "Carol of the Bells" (here led by the spirited fiddling of Mariread Nesbitt) only enhance an already engaging disc that finely weaves between the piety of classical music and the playfulness of pop. Chloe Agnew, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, and Meav Ni Mhaolchatha combine their Celtic voices against orchestral arrangements and sparser settings--spiked with the traditional Irish fare of uilleann pipes, harp, and ancient choral harmony--to deliver an assortment of reverent but lively arrangements that wouldn't be out of place at a church, concert hall, or good Irish celli. --Martin Keller

Irish producer/arranger David Downes, the creative mastermind behind Celtic Woman's chart breakthrough and burgeoning international success, here conjures up an inviting holiday showcase for his neo-superstar crossover quartet. He pushes the group's crowd-pleasing formula into more expansive arrangements with the Irish Film Orchestra, supplemented by a strong core of featured instrumentalists, including Downes himself. If the ethnic folk influences that gave the group its name are sometimes less pronounced, the result is a collection whose dignified, pop elegance often transcends national boundaries. The vocal performances are expectedly polished, with the quintet breaking off into smaller units and solo showcases such as Lisa Kelly's Broadway-lullaby take on "The Christmas Song," a neo-classical "Panis Angelicus" by Chloe Agnew, and the muscular orchestral/choral setting for Mariead Nesbitt's earthy fiddle on "Carol of the Bells." The quintet (backed only by Nesbitt's spare strings) harmonize richly on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and bring their trademark neo-Celtic charms more fully to bear on intimate translations of "Silent Night" and "The Wexford Carol" as well as a glorious take on the Gaelic traditional "That Night in Bethlehem." Perhaps to remind fans of their true range, the swinging, big-band bonus track "Let It Snow" closes the collection with upbeat flair. --Jerry McCulley

Christmas Songs Christmas Songs

As the song goes, "Merry Christmas" has already "been said many times, many ways." Diana Krall's Christmas Songs is a worthy--though not particularly unique--addition to the holiday catalog. On it, she excels with an approach mastered long ago: elegant delivery that gives extra polish to a very familiar lineup. Some might find her style frosty at times, but that will come as a relief to those who want their carolers to cut through some of the holiday treacle and create a festive, yet grown-up vibe. And Krall does show off her playful side with little, personal touches. In "Winter Wonderland" she promises to "frolic and play the Canadian way," which should draw smiles from her native land. (That'll mean toasting the holiday with Molson, eh?) Elsewhere, she ends "Jingle Bells" with the girlishly giddy statement, "I'm just crazy about horses." Well…can't argue with that. --Leah Weathersby

Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood
List Price: $13.95
Sale Price: $4.75

A New York Times Notable BookA Time Magazine “Best Comix of the Year”A San Francisco Chronicle and Los Angeles Times Best-sellerWise, funny, and heartbreaking, Persepolis is Marjane Satrapi’s memoir of growing up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. In powerful black-and-white comic strip images, Satrapi tells the story of her life in Tehran from ages six to fourteen, years that saw the overthrow of the Shah’s regime, the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, and the devastating effects of war with Iraq. The intelligent and outspoken only child of committed Marxists and the great-granddaughter of one of Iran’s last emperors, Marjane bears witness to a childhood uniquely entwined with the history of her country.Persepolis paints an unforgettable portrait of daily life in Iran and of the bewildering contradictions between home life and public life. Marjane’s child’s-eye view of dethroned emperors, state-sanctioned whippings, and heroes of the revolution allows us to learn as she does the history of this fascinating country and of her own extraordinary family. Intensely personal, profoundly political, and wholly original, Persepolis is at once a story of growing up and a reminder of the human cost of war and political repression. It shows how we carry on, with laughter and tears, in the face of absurdity. And, finally, it introduces us to an irresistible little girl with whom we cannot help but fall in love.

Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born
List Price: $24.99
Sale Price: $3.79

"The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed." With those words, millions of readers were introduced to Stephen King's Roland - an implacable gunslinger in search of the enigmatic Dark Tower, powering his way through a dangerous land filled with ancient technology and deadly magic. Now, in a comic book personally overseen by King himself, Roland's past is revealed! Sumptuously drawn by Jae Lee and Richard Isanove, adapted by long-time Stephen King expert Robin Furth (author of Stephen King's The Dark Tower: A Concordance) and scripted by New York Times bestseller Peter David, this series delves in depth into Roland's origins - the perfect introduction to this incredibly realized world; while long-time fans will thrill to adventures merely hinted at in the novels. Be there for the very beginning of a modern classic of fantasy literature! Collects Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #1-7. Questions for The Dark Tower Illustrators, Peter David and Robin Furth Amazon.com: How closely did you work with Stephen King on this project? Peter David: Robin worked far more closely with Steve before the fact, as it were, working out the overall story arcs and beats. My association was more after the fact: I wrote the scripting, which then went to King who provided the line edits and tweaks. Robin Furth: I've been working with Steve King (and Roland!) for about seven years now, so the three of us have quite a long history. While working on The Gunslinger Born, I ran my outlines by Steve King and Chuck Verrill (Steve's editor) at the same time that I ran them by our Marvel editors. After all, The Dark Tower is Steve's child so it's only right for him to have first dibs on any changes. I feel it's really important that Steve has final say about The Long Road Home. Hence, I always try to make sure he sees everything as soon as I can send drafts to him, and that includes the articles I write and which are at the end of each issue. Steve has been really supportive of this whole project which has been great. I was lucky enough to be with Steve while he looked through some of Jae's early sketches for The Gunslinger Born and his reaction was a lot like mine—it felt as though somebody had reached into his imagination and had taken his characters and given them a physical existence. I think that's pretty high praise, don't you? Amazon.com: Roland is one of the most iconic characters King has ever created. How hard was it to get him (and the other characters) "right" on the page? Did any iterations get vetoed by King? Robin Furth: We were really lucky with The Gunslinger Born because we could adapt scenes directly from Wizard and Glass. We could really stick to Steve's descriptions. (Occasionally we dipped into other Dark Tower novels, but on the whole, Wizard and Glass was our template.) The Long Road Home was a little more complicated since we spun the story from scattered tales that Roland tells about his youth—stories that are found throughout the Dark Tower books. (As you can imagine, I used my Concordance quite a lot while I was working on the outlines!) To tell the truth, Roland has such a strong personality that he feels almost human. I even dream about the guy, and once or twice I swear I've seen his shadow pacing past my writing room door. (No joke.) But even when it comes to writing about someone you know well, every person has their own perspective. As long as Steve King feels like we've caught Roland's youthful self, I'm happy. If longtime Dark Tower fans feel we have, then I'll be INCREDIBLY happy. So far Steve has been pleased with our approach. Fingers crossed that the fans will feel the same way! Peter David: King was very supportive of the license we took in terms of both the story compression and narrative stylizations that Robin and I undertook that were required to take a work of such massive scope and transform it into something that works as a graphic series. Amazon.com: What was the most challenging aspect of this particular project? Peter David: For me? Stage fright. Steve had stated that, as "a words guy," he was awaiting the scripts with great anticipation. That's pretty daunting, knowing that Stephen King is going to be going over my interpretation of what is arguably is most personal work. Robin Furth: I suppose the biggest challenge has always been (in Mid-World speak) to stand true. In other words, to remain true to our original mission and to translate the Dark Tower universe from novel form to comic book form. The Dark Tower universe is so big that we have to do a lot of condensing. It's both scary and exhilarating. Amazon.com: Robin, I imagine it is challenging to fit a several thousand page series into a graphic novel. As the DT aficionado, was it hard to adapt this series? What parts of the book did you wish you could include but had to cut because it just wouldn't fit? Robin Furth: It certainly has been challenging (you should see the state of my fingernails), but it has also been a really great experience. I have learned huge amounts about comics and about storytelling. I have always loved Roland, Alain, Cuthbert, and Susan so it has been wonderful to work with them again. There's something very moving about working with young Roland—the boy who grew into such a hard and (at times) unforgiving man. You see the wounds that later become calluses, if you know what I mean. As for the parts of the book I had to cut—there are many! When we first started working on these comics, The Gunslinger Born was supposed to be six issues long. I handed in eight issues! In the end we managed to cut back to seven, which worked well. In retrospect, I guess the greatest challenge has been to know when to stick to the plot of Wizard and Glass and when to borrow from other books (or occasionally even other parts of the Dark Tower universe) in order to fill out Mid-World for those who don't know the novels, or to make the comics ring true for long-term fans. That takes a lot of careful planning and sometimes it means taking risks, but if it works it's really worth it. Amazon.com: Peter, What was it like to work with Robin and King on this project? Have you worked closely with writers before on adaptations of their work? Peter David: It was both exciting and daunting: exciting being part of something as ambitious and potentially groundbreaking as this endeavor, and daunting in that King is a writing god whom I desperately wanted to please with my interpretations. No, I've never worked with a writer adapting his work before, which is why this was new territory for me: And what a place to start, huh? It's difficult to imagine any subsequent experience with adapting someone's work measuring up to this. Amazon.com: What is your favorite panel? Robin Furth: I must say I like them all, so I don't know if I could choose. However Jae recently sent me the cover for the first issue of The Long Road Home, and I think that would be in my top ten! Peter David: I'm torn on that. In terms of story narrative, the one where Roland and Susan give in to their passion. In terms of pure iconic power, that two-page spread early on where we first see Roland, as the gunslinger, in pursuit of the man in black. You never have a second chance to make a good first impression, and Jae and Richard just absolutely nailed it.

New Toy Car As Part of Celebration

Are you ready for something new?

Well giant Chevron USA Inc. will be releasing a new toy car as part of the Chevron Cars range. This little toy would be just in time for the holiday rush and they call the new little car the Brent Blizzard. Just by the name itself, it just simply entails that the car has been designed and crafted just for the season.

There are already tons of new products in the market which have been released just for the holidays. Who knows? You may also even find other auto products like Daewoo auto parts and Ford car parts which may have colors made in tune with the much awaited Christmas season. And the little Brent Blizzard is going to join in the holiday cheer soon enough.

The Brent Blizzard has been designed and crafted to be a miniature 4 x 4 vehicle. It comes painted in red and has been designed to look as if it has been covered in snow. It also comes with a snowboard right on its roof rack so it really does look so real. At present, the toy is put on display at the San Francisco Auto Show. It will be available for the public to view up until the 26th of this month.

Those who have asked if this vehicle would be available for sale has got a yes for an answer. According to Chevron, you can purchase one unit of the toy car for $7.99 in the various gasoline retail stations of the company. Or you can also order the toy by visiting the company's website.

But you see, little toy Brent Blizzard is simply not just made for Christmas. The toy has also been created as part of the 10th anniversary of Chevron's Toy Car program. The whole campaign started back out in the year 1995 and the first three toy cars from the program were Tony Turbo, Wendy Wagon, and also Sam Sedan. However, that was just the beginning. After ten years, there have now been more than two million toy cars sold and now owned by various car collectors.

You are running DAD...........let me start off by saying that is my favorite card in the game you are making me tear up with joy for seeing that in your deck.

Ok moving on.

Monsters

If you run that guy I would recommend running 2 destiny hero malicious and even a destiny hero diamond dude. Malicious can help you get 3 darks in the grave as well as help out with synchros, and diamond dude is also a dark that can get you nice effects while skipping the cost. Also, if you ran these 3 or 2 of both you could also run 2 d draws which would speed up the deck further.........to fill up 4 slots I would take out 2 mystic tomato dark creator and dark nephyths

Spells

I like your spells.

I think I would take out dark eruption, and add a brain control, 2 mind control, and 2 d draws if you add the monsters I recommended

Traps

I would take out delta crow, dark illusion and both windstorms

I would add 3 solemns, torrential tribute and maybe a bottomless instead of a threatening, but both are good

Synchros

Looking good but you HAVE to add at least 1 dark strike fighter, it helps out the OTK amazingly.

Yep thats all for me.........I'm not cocky and I don't know everything.......but I do know that a build like mine works realy well :)
