Isn't media supposed to be "liberal" by its very nature?
To quote directly from my amiga Lotus36: "Conservatism is not in par w/ reporting on different perspectives it aims at CONSERVING its own agenda. Liberalism is based on showing equal sides of things and that is why the media is and always will be liberal, meaning equal" well-rounded and diverse.
Liberal and conservative do not seriously distinguish anything in US policy. They are very ambiguous terms without clear definition, as far as US politics are concerned. Do you mean liberal as in those who believe in the separation of church and state as in 19th c. Latin America? The derived their name from the liberals who believed in unregulated trade, blind trust in technology and... well, check Smith, Bacon and Locke... I just mean, the words have lost their meaning pal. Conservative... in relation to what? in many ways socialists are conservatives because they believe that the state has obligations towards the individual that have been unfulfilled since the feudal age. Then again self-labeled conservatives want to bring back the moral code of ancient Israel!!! so, what do the words mean? The people who own the media are businessmen, so that whatever you may want to say about the media it is always pro-rich, always pro-bussiness, always pro ratings. Which means that the private media will never look after your interests, unless you are a neo-con (there i go with the empty epithets)

Call us old-fashioned, but we prefer to play our games with a controller. Arm waving in front of a camera is a little too much like, well, waving your arms about in front of a camera.
