Partition Loss in Dual-Boot System Due to Mismatched Alignment Boundary in Vista and XP
You can install Microsoft Windows Vista with Microsoft Windows XP in dual boot configuration. Most of the users generally go for a dual boot setup for getting better performance and compatibility with various applications, games and hardware resources with two operating systems.
For installing Microsoft Windows XP with Vista, you must have a second partition and that is formatted. In such situations, you must completely backup your hard drive partitions and data prior to format the hard drive and check the status of backup. Incomplete or invalid backup might cause partition loss and need Partition Recovery to sort out the issue. A different hard drive partitions scheme and process is used by Microsoft Windows Vista as used by Microsoft Windows XP.
